Audacity (Audio)
Audacity is a free, easy-to-use audio editor and recorder that can be used through the computer, all you need is to connect speakers/microphone to the computer.
You can use Audacity to:
- Insert sounds, music, audio quotes into your PowerPoint presentation
- Record live audio
- Convert tapes and records into digital recordings or CDs
- Cut, copy, splice, and mix sounds together
- Change the speed or pitch of a recording
Community Radio – Should your Community have its own station?
There are many examples of Community Radio and some stations can be accessed over the internet. Community Radio has a vital role in reaching out to people and communities at risk of exclusion and disadvantage. Community-based radio, television and Internet projects work by enabling people to become media producers, to send as well as to receive, and, by working together, to reinforce knowledge, dialogue and cultural expression at neighbourhood and community level.
