ICT Hub research and publications

ICT Foresight
From the 21st April the new Foresight guide – ‘How ICT is shaping the future design and delivery of public services’ is available to order or download online.

Shared Systems report
The ICT Hub has commissioned a piece of research looking at ‘shared systems’ being developed and used within the voluntary and community sector.  ‘Shared systems’ – a concept which is still developing, is defined in the report as pieces of hardware or software, developed and used by more than one voluntary and community organisation, for the same purpose or purposes and mutual benefit.

The report looks at specific examples of shared systems around the country, their route to inception and key learning from the organisations involved.  These examples demonstrate the benefits shared systems can have on improving customer relations, understanding the sector, increasing income generation and reducing duplication of work.  Download a copy of the shared systems report online.

Sources of Funders
The ICT Hub’s sources of funders research has been updated to include even more information about funding your ICT project.  Download the updated sources of funders research online.

iT4C Provides IT Support from Down Under
The Theatre Royal Stratford East had its website updated from Melbourne thanks to iT4C’s remotest volunteer, Jason King.

Silvia Pilotto, Senior Marketing Officer for the Theatre Royal Stratford East, wanted an improved website without breaking the bank so turned to iT4C for help. Proving that virtual volunteering really works, iT4C volunteer Jason King set about making all the enhancements from his home in Australia.

Silvia said, “I was very impressed with the work iT4C carried out for us, which has allowed us to focus on what we do best - putting on a great show!”
See their new website at www.stratfordeast.com.
